Mystery bone identified

Hippo femur head (inset) identified using museum specimen

Mr Lance Pool presented the museum with the specimen (inset in pic) for identification. It was found after heavy rains washed out a small river system immediately west of the Qinira River Mouth (Bonza Bay). Using the dark innominate bone (see above pic) a fit confirmed the specimen as that of a hippo.
