This is not a Boomslang!

This is one of the bush or green snakes of the genus Philothamnus. The Boomslang Dispholidus typus has the largest eyes of any African snake and has a short stubby head. The species above is a smaller snake (harmless) and is an expert climber. Please do not harm these snakes if they are found in suburban areas.
