Museum colleague, Paulus Janse, has just completed a sculpture which will provide definition to the mount of the treated caracal skin donated to the museum last year.
Illustrated below is a delicate three dimensional work of art which requires insights into animal musculature and behaviour particular to the species. A pose is chosen and the true beauty of this predator needs to be reflected in the way it positions itself in the natural environment.
We look forward to seeing the finished product.
