…. another raptor …. Osprey

A routine beach patrol between Bonza Bay and Bluebend (East London) presented a fly past by two Osprey. These fish eating raptors have a bouncy flight motion (almost gull-like).

The origins of Osprey visiting southern Africa are unknown. Special spines on the feet assist these birds in handling its slippery prey.
