Beaconhurst School Careers Day

The East London Museum participated in a Careers Day hosted by the Beaconhurst School in East London (SA). Learners were encouraged to consider careers in the natural sciences and discussions were held with regard to studies in paleontology, archeology, ornithology and malacology (study of snails).

A cast of the 36 000 year old Hofmeyr skull which is curated at the museum was used to demostrate morphological differences between early and modern humankind. More of this skull in the next post.
